Inspired by the cringe-worthy "Mexican Week" of one of my favorite shows, The Great British Baking Show, this AP Lang paper explores the issues of cultural appropriation in food media and writing. In addition to analyzing this episode, I consider the line between researching international cuisines and cultural appropriation. The paper tries to address the question of whether or not non-native food writers or chefs can or should focus on native cuisines.
